Orthodontic services for adults and children in
St. Moritz
We specialise in orthodontics. We intervene to correct overbite problems and malocclusions.
These problems are caused by a misalignment of the upper jaw and lower jaw, or even by an incorrect position of the teeth. They are often associated with other more or less obvious functional disorders (such as atypical swallowing), postural disorders (such as neck pain) and, more generally, spinal pathologies/diseases.
Therefore, by restoring the correct alignment of the teeth and dental arches, we contribute to improving the general health of our patients.
Our work has an impact on a person's general wellbeing because:
- we create personalised solutions we restore the functions of the mouth (chewing, breathing, speaking...)
- We help the functional balance of all parts of the body, determining the overall postural balance.
- We restore the smile to its natural harmony.
How we work
We do not offer ready-made treatments, but adapt each procedure to the individual needs of the patient.
We start by analysing the person to identify any problems in the "mouth system", in the occlusion, in the function of the lower jaw, in the aesthetic area of the face and in posture; we then complete the analysis with initial tests that allow us to obtain precise data on the situation of the patient's mouth.
This data allows us to check the function, symmetries and proportions of the mouth. If the analysis of the data indicates the need for intervention, the possible treatments are studied: diagnostic software is used to plan the necessary movements of the teeth, made possible by the use of orthodontic devices (fixed or invisible).
The intervention plan is always defined together with the patient: we show him the characteristics of his mouth, the functioning of his occlusion and the problems that have arisen or will arise. We explain the possible solutions and list the costs and time required for each therapy. We also work with maxillofacial surgeons when occlusion problems require surgical orthodontic intervention on the bone structure.
